We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Coolalinga. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various warehouse tasks, including receiving and storing incoming shipments, picking and packing orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
This role is initially casual full time - with the view to become permanent
Key responsibilities:
- Receive and unload shipments from trucks
- Check incoming shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies
- Store incoming inventory in designated locations
- Pick and pack orders for shipping
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar setting preferred
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Forklift licence is a must, with demonstrated experience
